The 2-door bifold kit has two panels that fold entirely to one side — useful when wall space is available on only one side of the opening. This 4-door kit has four panels in a biparting configuration: two fold left and two fold right, splitting symmetrically from the center. This makes it better suited to wide openings where stacking all panels to one side would require too much wall clearance, and where a symmetrical appearance on both sides is preferred.

Yes — all four panels are identical in construction. Assemble all four before installing any bifold hardware. Decorative diagonal panels are included for all four doors and optional to install — if you use them, choose your pattern and keep all four panels consistent. Plan for 3–4 hours total for door assembly before installation.

No — soft close is not available for bifold hardware. This applies to all bifold configurations, not just this kit.

Yes — biparting bifold works well for bedroom and bathroom openings where a symmetrical look and no wall clearance on either side is the goal. For better privacy coverage, use the fully clear formula (opening + 12 in total panel width). Barn doors don't seal like hinged doors, so if sound isolation is the primary concern, a hinged door is more effective.
