Door panels for modern barn door installations — fishbone chevron, vertical slat, frosted glass, diamond, and slanted styles in stains that suit contemporary interiors: Dark Walnut, Ebony, Black, Classic Gray, Tinsmith Gray, and Unfinished. Available as individual panels to pair with our modern hardware collection, as complete door + hardware kits, and as edge wrap kits for building a custom door from any locally sourced slab.
Panel styles
- Fishbone (chevron) — diagonal planks meeting at a center peak in a repeating V-pattern, divided into two panels by a horizontal rail. In Ebony or Dark Walnut this reads as a strong contemporary statement. In Black it's bold and graphic.
- Vertical slat — clean vertical planks with deliberate spacing. One of the most versatile modern panel styles — works in matte black hardware setups and pairs naturally with Ebony, Black, or Dark Walnut stains.
- Frosted glass panels — half-lite and two-panel frosted glass options where light transmission is part of the design intent. Works particularly well with top mount or hidden roller hardware where the frame is the only solid element visible.
- Diamond — geometric surface pattern with a clean contemporary feel. Takes Dark Walnut and Ebony stains well.
- Slanted — angled plank pattern adding visual movement without the V-shape of fishbone. Works in any modern stain.
For most modern projects, sourcing a door panel locally — a flat slab from a lumber yard or millwork supplier — and ordering hardware separately is the most cost-effective path. See our DIY vs. kit guide for an honest comparison.
