Decorative Barn Door Accent Trims

Baseball accent trims installed on a barn door

Goldberg Brothers accent trims are decorative steel silhouettes that mount directly to compatible heavy duty strap hardware — laser-cut in Denver, CO, available in 35+ designs across seven themes and all 17 Goldberg Brothers finishes. Unlike decorative rollers where the design is part of the roller itself, accent trims are a separate piece that swaps on and off independently, so you can change the look without replacing any hardware.

Common Questions

Measure the centerline spacing between the two bolts on your hanger. If the distance is exactly 3-1/2 in, your hardware is compatible — provided it's one of the three Goldberg Brothers heavy duty hangers listed above (J-strap, flat top strap, or wagon wheel). If the spacing is different, or if you have a different hanger style, the accent trims won't fit.

Straightforward — the trim attaches to the existing bolts on the hanger and removes the same way. No tools beyond what's needed to loosen and retighten the bolts. The door doesn't need to come off the track to swap a trim.

Yes — accent trims are sold separately from hardware kits. If you're starting from scratch, you'll need to order the compatible heavy duty hardware first. See our heavy duty hardware collection for the J-strap, flat top strap, and wagon wheel kits that work with these trims.

That's a fair question. The wagon wheel is already a prominent design element, so adding an accent trim on top of it is a deliberate layering of two decorative pieces. Some customers do this intentionally for maximum visual impact. If you want a cleaner look where the trim is the focal point, the J-strap or flat top strap give the accent trim more room to read clearly.

Our barn door edge wrap handles that — powder-coated steel channels that wrap the perimeter of the door panel and are available in the same 17 Goldberg Brothers finishes, so the trim, hardware, and edge wrap can all match exactly.
