4-Door Biparting Bifold Barn Door Hardware Kits

Four-door biparting bifold hardware uses two 2-panel assemblies — one on each side of the opening — that each fold away from the center and stack beside their respective wall when open. It's the right choice when a 2-door bifold doesn't cover the opening width, or when you want the doors to split symmetrically from the center rather than stacking entirely to one side. This collection covers Goldberg Brothers J-strap and J top mount kits in standard and heavy duty, plus house value line options — for the full bifold buying guide, see our bifold hardware collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

Choose 4-door biparting when your opening exceeds 93 in (the maximum for a 2-door bifold), or when you want the doors to split symmetrically from the center rather than stacking entirely to one side. For openings a 2-door can cover, 2-door is the simpler system — fewer pivots, less hardware, lower cost. See our 2-door bifold collection for comparison.

Each folded stack is approximately 5 in wide for Goldberg Brothers hardware and approximately 6 in for the house value line. Unlike a 2-door bifold where all panels stack to one side, biparting splits the stack equally — one side per assembly — so the wall clearance requirement is distributed symmetrically on both sides.

It depends on the brand. Goldberg Brothers uses wall-mounted bottom pivots on both pivot sides — no floor drilling required on either side. The house value line uses floor-mounted pivots on both sides. If either pivot side has no floor surface available, choose Goldberg Brothers.

No — soft close is not available for any bifold configuration.

Yes for Goldberg Brothers — handles are included, color-matched to your selected finish. House value line kits do not include handles.
