Door panels for industrial barn door installations — fishbone chevron, vertical slat, and flat pine in Ebony, Black, Dark Walnut, Early American, and Unfinished. Available as individual panels to pair with our industrial hardware collection, as complete door + hardware kits with black hardware, and as edge wrap kits for building a custom door from any locally sourced slab. For most industrial projects — especially those using reclaimed wood or thick solid panels — sourcing the door locally and ordering hardware separately is the more practical path.
Panel styles and stain recommendations
- Fishbone (chevron) — diagonal planks meeting at a center V-peak across the door face. In Ebony or Dark Walnut with matte black J-strap or wagon wheel hardware, this is one of the strongest industrial door combinations in the lineup. The geometric pattern reads as deliberate and material-forward.
- Vertical slat — clean vertical planks. In Black or Ebony stain paired with matte black hardware, the door surface recedes and the hardware becomes the focal point — the right approach for industrial spaces where the hanger is the statement piece.
- Flat pine panel — neutral, unadorned surface. In Dark Walnut or Early American it suits industrial spaces with warm wood tones throughout. In Unfinished it's the most flexible starting point — stain or finish to match the specific material palette of the space.
The industrial aesthetic works best with darker stains that contrast with the hardware. Black and Ebony read most strongly industrial; Dark Walnut is the warmer, more versatile alternative. Early American suits industrial spaces with aged wood tones. Avoid lighter stains — Classic Gray and White suit farmhouse, not industrial.
For complete door + hardware kit options, the single and double kits in this collection come with house value line black hardware already included. For industrial hardware-only options to pair with a locally sourced panel, see our industrial hardware kits collection.
