The stainless steel 90-degree flip latch is the same mechanism as the matte black version — same function, same installation — built from stainless steel for outdoor, coastal, and high-humidity openings where powder-coated hardware will corrode over time. Stainless is a corrosion-resistant alloy all the way through rather than a coating over steel, which is why it's the only hardware we rate for exterior use. A practical choice for bathrooms with ongoing moisture, coastal properties, and covered exterior openings.
The strike plate mounts to the face of the door and travels with it as it slides; the latch body mounts to the wall alongside the opening and stays put. Give the arm a quarter turn and it catches the strike plate, holding the door closed. Turn it back to release. Because the latch body is stationary, nothing protrudes from the moving door as it slides open. No key, no lock — just a simple, reliable way to keep the door from being pushed open from the other side.
Both parts surface mount with the included M4 wood screws — no routing or mortising required.
Quick Ship line, raw stainless only. Ships in 2–3 business days.
