Barn Door Stainless Steel Pull Handles

Two differences: shape and substrate. The powder-coated pull handle is a single piece of bar stock bent into a D-shape — the bar curves away from the door face as one continuous piece with mounting tabs at each end. The stainless steel version is a separate flat bar held off the door face by two standoffs, giving it a clean linear profile. Both provide 1-1/4 in of finger clearance. The more important difference is what is under the finish: the powder-coated handle is steel and belongs indoors, while this one is stainless throughout and can go outside — on an exterior door, in a coastal home, or in a bathroom with heavy steam — in any of its three finishes. The stainless version also comes in three lengths only (7, 11, and 16 in); there is no 24 in option.

Yes. Both are powder coated over a stainless steel core, so the corrosion resistance comes from the metal itself and is unaffected by the finish. This is what makes them different from our powder-coated steel handles, which are interior-only. The one trade-off is cosmetic: a coating can chip or scratch over years of exposure where raw stainless cannot, and under our warranty that kind of wear is treated as finish character rather than a defect. If the install is fully exposed and you want the least upkeep, raw stainless is the simplest answer. Matte black and black carry a small upcharge over raw stainless — the price updates when you select a finish.

No — the handle itself is identical across all three door thickness options (1-3/8 in, 1-3/4 in, and 2-1/4 in). The difference is the length of the mounting bolts included. Select the option that matches your door thickness and the correct hardware ships with it.
