Glass panel thickness: 3/8 in to 1/2 in. Outside this range? Email us before ordering.
Glass panel holes: Holes are required in the glass at each roller mounting point. Confirm your glass panel supplier can pre-drill to Goldberg Brothers specifications before ordering. Email us for hole specifications.
Door weight: Up to 400 lbs per door for all roller configurations.
Wall clearance beside opening: Must equal full door width on the slide side. Limited clearance? See bypass hardware.
Ceiling clearance above door: 5-1/2 in required for all stainless steel styles. Measure from the top of your glass panel to the ceiling before ordering.
Wall header: Solid header or header board required above the opening. No solid wall surface above the opening? This kit is not available in a ceiling mount configuration — email us to discuss alternatives.
Trim clearance kit: Available as an add-on if casing or trim surrounds the opening — add at the product level before checkout.
Door width: Your door must be wider than the rough opening. For standard rooms plan for 2 in of wall overlap on each side — opening + 4 in. For bedrooms and bathrooms, 3 in per side gives better privacy — opening + 6 in. Minimum functional overlap is 1/2 in per side. See our measuring guide for full sizing formulas.
Door height: Measure from finished floor to the top of the rough opening and add 1 in. The extra inch covers the top of the opening while leaving 1/2 to 1 in of clearance at the bottom for the door to slide without dragging. If you have thick carpet, check that clearance is adequate along the full travel path before ordering.
