Common Questions

The Partial Radius softens the corners of a rectangular faceplate — the rectangular shape is still recognizable. The Full Radius removes corners entirely: the top and bottom each use a single continuous curve, so the overall shape is a stadium or oval with no straight sides visible. If you're going for a completely organic, angular-free look, Full Radius is the right choice. For something in between — softened but still recognizably rectangular — Partial Radius is the better fit.

Match the flush pull height to your bar pull on the other side. A 6 in flush pull pairs well with 7 in and 11 in bar pulls; the 12 in pairs with a 16 in bar pull. For most standard interior doors, the 6 in is the right choice. The 12 in suits wider doors or installations where a more prominent pull on the wall-facing side is intentional.

The mortise requires a precise routed recess — 5 × 2 × 1/2 in deep for the 6 in pull, 11 × 2 × 1/2 in deep for the 12 in. The Goldberg Brothers acrylic router template covers both sizes. See ourrouter template.
