Common Questions

The track bracket configuration. Standard wall-mounted hardware anchors the track to a header above the opening. Ceiling mount uses a bracket that anchors the track to the ceiling joists above, dropping the track down to the correct position. Functionally the door hangs and slides the same way — the difference is only in how the track attaches to the structure. Both use the same track and roller system; ceiling mount just routes the mounting point upward instead of back into the wall.

The ceiling mount bracket is a fixed-depth piece designed to position the track at a specific distance below the ceiling. Unlike a wall-mounted bracket that sits flat against the wall at any height, the ceiling mount bracket projects downward a fixed amount. If the gap between your door top and the ceiling is more or less than 6 in, the track won't sit at the right height for the door to slide correctly. Measure this distance carefully — and measure it at the actual opening, not at a nearby point.

A solid structural connection point directly above where the track will sit — ceiling joists or a blocking board installed between joists. Joists work well if they run parallel to the track and land where you need them. If they don't, install a 1×6 hardwood blocking board across two joists that spans the full track length. Drywall alone won't hold — the bracket must connect to wood framing. Email us with your ceiling structure if you're unsure before ordering.

Yes — select "2 Door Kit" at checkout. The biparting kit includes hardware for two doors sharing one track: a second hanger/roller set, a second floor guide, and additional anti-jump and door stop hardware. Track length formula for biparting: 2× combined door width — e.g. two 30 in doors → 10 ft minimum.

Yes, a floor-mounted guide is included. It requires two small screws into the floor directly below the door panel. If you have finished hardwood, tile, or LVP you don't want to drill into, a wall-mounted floor guide is an alternative — browse our floor guides collection.
