Door width per panel: Measure your rough opening width. For a standard room, add 4 in then divide by 2 — this gives the width for each door panel (2 in of overlap per side, 1 in per door at the center). For a bedroom or bathroom, add 6 in then divide by 2 (3 in overlap per side). Select the door width closest to that result. Example: 48 in opening, standard room → (48 + 4) ÷ 2 = 26 in per panel.

Door height: Select 80 in or 84 in. The door should be at least 1 in taller than the opening — more is fine — to leave adequate floor clearance. On carpet or uneven floors, confirm there is enough clearance for both doors to slide without dragging.

Track length: Determined automatically by the door width you select — see the sizing reference below. One shared track spans the full opening with enough length for both doors to slide clear.

Ceiling clearance: The clearance required between the top of each door panel and the ceiling depends on your roller type. Straight Strap and Straight Top Mount require 5 in; J-Strap, Arrow, and Diamond require 6 in; Spoke Wheel requires 8 in. Measure this gap before selecting a roller style.

Wall header: A solid header above the opening is required for track mounting. If there is no existing header or backing in the wall, install a minimum 1×6 hardwood board (3/4 in thick × 5-1/2 in wide) that extends past the length of the track to the next stud or structural support point on each side. Wall clearance: In a biparting setup, each door slides to the side of the opening. You need at least as much clear wall space on each side as the width of one door panel — confirm there are no switches, outlets, or trim obstructions on either side.

Door Stain — Select your finish from the color swatches. Unfinished ships in 2–3 days and arrives ready to stain on your own timeline. All other options are pre-stained and ship in 7–8 business days.

Door Width — Select the width for each door panel based on your opening measurement. Use the formula: opening width + 4 in (standard room) or + 6 in (bedroom/bathroom), then divide by 2. See the sizing reference below to confirm the track length that ships with your selection.

Door Height — Select 80 in or 84 in based on your opening height.

Add 4 in to your rough opening width (standard rooms) or 6 in (bedrooms and bathrooms), then divide by 2 to get the width for each door panel. Select the available size closest to that result — both panels are the same width. The track length ships automatically based on your selection.

The minimum per-panel door width is 2 in wider than half your opening (1 in per side), though this barely covers the jamb and isn't ideal for most installations. We recommend at least 4 in added to the total opening before dividing by 2 for standard rooms (2 in per side), and 6 in added for bedrooms and bathrooms (3 in per side). The sizing reference table shows the absolute maximum opening each panel width can cover at the 1 in per side minimum — use those figures as a ceiling, not a target. Track lengths run from 8 ft (22 in panels) up to 20 ft (54 in panels).
