The pins easily attach to the bottom of an unslotted door using the included mounting screws. The continuous floor guide is a different approach from all other floor guides: rather than a small bracket that the door passes over, it's a long aluminum channel routed flush into the floor surface. A pin attaches to the bottom of the door and rides inside the channel for the entire length of travel. The result is continuous, consistent guidance across the full slide distance — no point guides, no brackets in the foot traffic path.

This is the guide recommended for full clear opening setups on multi-door bypass and triple bypass configurations, where point guides don't provide enough stability across the full travel distance. The tradeoff is permanent: routing the channel into the floor is not reversible without patching. The channel is not pre-cut or pre-drilled — you cut it to the length you need. Common Questions

When do I need a continuous guide instead of a point guide?

For full clear opening setups on multi-door bypass or triple bypass configurations where the doors travel their full stacking distance. Point guides (T-guides, roller guides) work well for doors that travel a limited distance or where some lateral movement is acceptable. When all three or four bypass doors need to stack completely to one side, a continuous guide keeps each door constrained across its entire travel range and prevents lateral sway that point guides can't address over long distances.

Is routing the channel into the floor permanent?

Yes — routing a channel into a finished floor is not reversible without patching. This is the primary reason to weigh the continuous guide carefully before ordering. If you're not certain about the configuration, email us before ordering and we can advise on whether point guides might work for your specific setup.

Does the door need a slot in the bottom edge?

No — unlike the T-guide, the continuous guide uses a pin that screws to the bottom of the door face. The pin rides inside the floor channel. No slot in the door is required.
