Common Questions

Three common reasons: you're replacing a guide that was damaged or lost, you have a second door or a separate project that needs one, or you originally chose a wall-mounted guide and later decided a floor-mounted one works better for your space. The T-guide is also sometimes purchased for renovation projects where the door predates the hardware kit.

The slot must be at least 1/4 in wide and 7/8 in deep, running continuously along the bottom edge of the door. Most barn doors come without a pre-cut slot — it's typically cut with a table saw or router. If you'd prefer not to cut a slot in your door, the Adjustable U Floor Guide works with unslotted doors.
