Each guide includes mounting screws and requires a 1/4ʺ × 7/8ʺ continuous mortised slot in the bottom of your door. If you're not sure whether your project needs the 24 in version, email us — most residential installations use the standard T floor guide.

At 24 in long, this guide extends well beyond the door width and would create a tripping hazard for anyone walking through. The standard 1-1/2 in T-guide is compact enough to sit entirely beneath the door and poses no hazard. This extra-long version is only appropriate where the installation area is away from foot traffic.
