Soft close is engineered for doors between 35 and 150 lbs. Very lightweight doors (under 35 lbs) may not have enough momentum to engage the mechanism reliably. For very light cabinet doors, soft close typically isn't needed — the door naturally moves slowly enough.

Can I add this to an existing setup without removing the door?
