The wall mounted barn door guide attaches to the baseboard or wall and uses a roller to keep the bottom of the door from swinging away from the wall. No floor drilling required — and no slot needed in the door bottom. A quick-ship option for standard single sliding barn door installations where you have finished floors you don't want to drill into, or a door without a bottom slot.

Common Questions

Why can't this be used with bypass configurations?

In a bypass setup, the outer door needs to pass the inner door. A bracket-style roller guide attached to the wall would block the outer door's travel path. For bypass configurations, the U Channel wall mounted guide is the right choice — it mounts to the wall but allows doors to pass through it.

How does this compare to the Goldberg Brothers roller guides?

Same concept — wall-mounted roller, no floor drilling, no door slot needed — but two differences. The Goldberg Brothers versions are higher quality and available in shorter bracket sizes, which reduces the tripping hazard on smaller doors. This HVL version ships in 2–3 business days in black or brushed nickel; the GB versions ship in 10–15 business days but offer more bracket size options.

Does the door need a slot in the bottom?

No — the roller contacts the side of the door rather than riding in a slot. Any door works regardless of how the bottom edge is finished.
