Bypass barn door kits include solid pine door panels and house value line bypass hardware — panels, tracks, rollers, floor guide, and all mounting hardware in one purchase. Single bypass and double bypass configurations available for openings where wall clearance is limited on both sides. Standard sizing only, available finished and unfinished. Common Questions

Single bypass uses one shared track — one push moves both doors simultaneously via a telescoping mechanism. Double bypass uses two independent parallel tracks — each door operates separately. Double bypass requires less wall clearance when stacking; single bypass requires more. See our bypass guide for a full comparison.

Soft close is not selectable on the product page but is available for double bypass configurations as a separate purchase — email us at info@thebarndoorhardwarestore.com to add it to your order. Soft close is not available for single bypass.

Standard sizes only. Custom panel dimensions are not available — if you need a non-standard size, source panels locally and order hardware separately from our bypass hardware collection.

If you order unfinished panels, yes — apply paint or stain before installation. Finished panels are ready to hang.

Handles and a latch — both separate purchases. Soft close is available for double bypass via email request.
