Triple Bypass Barn Door Hardware

Close up of matte black triple bypass barn door hardware on unfinished wood doors.

Triple bypass hardware runs three doors on three independent tracks — the right solution for very wide openings, room dividers, and closet systems where three panels need to slide and stack independently. House value line only, rated to 220 lbs total system weight; Goldberg Brothers triple bypass is available by custom quote. Track length and door width formulas are specific to this configuration — see the guide below. Not sure which bypass configuration fits your opening? Use our hardware finder.

Common Questions

No. No bypass configuration achieves a flush closure — the door layers sit at different depths. There will always be some gap between door faces when closed. If flush closure or a center seal is a requirement, bypass isn't the right configuration for the project.

No. Because each door operates on its own independent track, there's no mechanical minimum the way single bypass systems have. We recommend roughly 2 inches of overlap at each meeting point as a practical guideline, but you have full flexibility in how you position the doors.

Yes. Triple-track can be configured for a one-way stack if clearance only exists on one side of the opening. The same track length multipliers apply based on door count.

If your total system weight is over 220 lbs, or your doors are thicker than 1-3/4 in, the house value line won't cover it. Email us at info@thebarndoorhardwarestore.com with your door dimensions and we'll put together a Goldberg Brothers custom quote.

Yes. The soft close mechanism is sold separately and can be retrofitted onto an installed triple-track system.
