Bifold Barn Door Hardware Kits

A close-up of a white bifold barn door system in a hallway, showcasing the hardware's functionality as the doors are partially folded.

Bifold barn door hardware folds panels accordion-style along a wall-mounted track — the right solution when wall clearance beside the opening is limited and a standard sliding door can't slide fully out of the way. Available in Goldberg Brothers and house value line, in one-way and biparting configurations, with sizing rules that differ significantly from standard sliding hardware. Read our bifold measuring guide before selecting a track length.

Common Questions

Door panels — always. Track length is based on total door width, not the rough opening width. This is the most common bifold sizing mistake and it's worth double-checking before you order. If you're not sure, email us your rough opening width and planned panel count and we'll work through the sizing with you.

Request a custom quote. Custom track lengths are priced the same as the next standard size up — there's no premium for the non-standard length. Email us your total door width and we'll confirm availability and pricing before anything ships.

Start with your wall clearance. If you only have clearance on one side of the opening, one-way is your only option. If you have clearance on both sides, biparting gives you a naturally symmetrical look with less total track length required. If you choose one-way and want the installation to look symmetrical over the opening, plan your panel widths and track coverage for symmetry before ordering — it's much harder to adjust after the fact.

Check the capacity table above. Standard duty Goldberg Brothers handles up to 62½ lbs per panel, the house value line up to 90 lbs per panel. If your panels exceed those limits, heavy duty bifold handles up to 200 lbs per panel. If you're not sure of your panel weight, email us the material, dimensions, and thickness — we'll give you a reasonable estimate.

Only with Goldberg Brothers kits. House value line bifold kits include all hardware components except handles — handles are a separate purchase. For all other kit types (standard sliding, heavy duty, bypass), handles are always a separate purchase regardless of brand. Browse our handles collection for options.
