Wall clearance beside opening: Must equal full door width on the slide side. Limited clearance? See bypass or bifold hardware.

Wall header: A solid header above the opening is required for track mounting. If there is no existing header or backing in the wall, we recommend installing a minimum 1×6 hardwood board (3/4 in thick × 5-1/2 in wide) that extends past the length of the track to the next stud or structural support point on each side. Ceiling clearance above door: 9 in required — the highest clearance in the lineup. Less than 9 in? See J-strap or flat top strap (5-1/2 in).

Door width: Your door must be wider than the rough opening. For standard rooms plan for 2 in of wall overlap on each side — opening + 4 in. For bedrooms and bathrooms, 3 in per side gives better privacy — opening + 6 in. Minimum functional overlap is 1/2 in per side. See our measuring guide for full sizing formulas.

Door height: Measure from finished floor to the top of the rough opening and add 1 in. The extra inch covers the top of the opening while leaving 1/2 to 1 in of clearance at the bottom for the door to slide without dragging. If you have thick carpet, check that clearance is adequate along the full travel path before ordering.

Warranty: Limited lifetime warranty against defective parts. The finish is a rustic raw or powder-coated steel — minor cosmetic marks and surface patina over time are characteristic, not defects, and aren't covered (stainless excepted). Wear items like felt pads, rubber bumpers, and the soft close mechanism carry a one-year window.

Tracks over 7'6" ship in multiple sections with junction plates included. If you have finished hardwood, tile, or LVP, you'll need a wall-mounted floor guide instead of the included floor-mounted guide. If you have casing or trim around the opening, trim clearance kits are available as a separate purchase — contact us for sizing guidance.

For doors at this weight, a solid header board is especially important — at minimum a 1×6 hardwood spanning the full track length, fastened securely into the studs. Step-by-step install guides are available for every kit.

Heavy duty kits don't include handles, a latch, or a trim clearance kit — plan for these before checkout:

The track must be at least 2× the door width for the door to fully clear the opening. Measure the door panel — not the rough opening.

Single door: 2× door width — e.g. 36 in door → 72 in track

Biparting (2 doors): 2× combined door width — e.g. two 36 in doors → 144 in track

For biparting: add both door widths together first, then double the combined total. Every track is custom-cut to your specification. If the length you need isn't listed, request a custom quote — non-standard lengths are priced the same as the next standard size up.
